Julia (27) works at Slimbridge for an environmental charity, The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust.  She monitors and records changes in the habits and numbers of Bewick Swans that visit the UK each year.  As part of her role she organises projects, writes up research reports and there are plenty of opportunities for fieldwork on the swans and other species in the UK and overseas. She talks about the value of doing voluntary work, skills needed for her job, the importance of attention to detail and how she enjoys working to protect the Bewick Swans.   M081
