Heritage Conservation Scientist

Philippa (25) is a Materials Scientist specialising in Heritage Conservation and studying for a PhD in Textile Technology. This combines her love of science and passion for history. She has worked on coins, prints and ceramics at the British Museum and is now researching techniques for the conservation of heritage tapestries at Hampton Court Palace.  Her time is divided between there and working in the laboratories at Manchester University’s Textiles Department.     M134
